#FoW - Kaguya, the Immortal Princess Spoilers

Reviving this this blog after nearly a full year of nothingness because, for one, I got tired of playing Vanguard and secondly, Force of Will is finally a thing in America now!

Anyway, this week, Force of Will JAPAN gave us a couple of new card spoilers from the ''Moon Princess Returns'' set to look forward to. One of those spoilers was the official poster girl as well as the water attribute J-Ruler of the booster set : ''Kaguya, the Immortal Princess''. Kaguya is no stranger to this game as she's already been seen in the first set (Kaguya, Princess of the Moon) of this cluster with similar abilities, but it's nice to see her come back in full force.

#CFV - Fearless Jewel Knight, Julia

So, we're finally in April. I use the word 'finally' here because, despite not having much to look out for in the world of Vanguard this month, we, Royal Paladin players, get our hand on a new little gem (pun fully intended) in the Cardfight Pack Vol. 9 offered this season. Of course, here, I'm talking about Fearless Jewel Knight, Julia who will not only change the entirety of the Jewel Knight's play style, but also make use of a new mechanic that will make other units way more relevant than they previously were.

#CFV - BT12 Silver Thorn Overview

Although I was never truly a fan of how the Pale Moon units looked back when they were first released, I was always very interested in their unique play-style and mechanic. Then, when the clan got introduced to their new vanguard unit back in Booster Set 07, I was even more interested in playing them as not only I liked how Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer, Luquier looked as a unit, they also enhanced how the clan worked with their soul. Fast forward to now, and with the release of the new Booster Set 12: Binding Force of the Black Rings in english comes an archetype for Pale Moon strictly centred around Luquier - how convenient, right!?

So as you may have already guessed, this Booster Set 12 blog entry will be around Pale Moon's new archetype: Silver Thorn. Silver Thorn, like the original Pale Moon clan, focuses on establishing and manipulating the soul to make power plays during the late game. Those power plays often consist of superior calling or switching around key units from the soul directly to a rear-guard circle.

#CFV - BT10 Jewel Knight Overview

The time has finally come and one of the most awaited booster set in the history of Vanguard is upon us! Like previously mentioned in my blog entry about Angel Feather's CelestialBooster Set 10: Triumphant Return of the King of Knight's order has been switched around with Booster Set 11: Seal Dragons Unleashed by Bushiroad for financial unknown reasons and this is the reason why we waited so long to get our hand on all the new goodies this booster set offers.

Booster Set 10 introduces new archetype support for many of the popular clans at the moment and Jewel Knights, the new archetype for Royal Paladins, is included among them. Similarly to their predecessors, Jewel Knights focus on producing field advantage by superior calling specific units that supports each other from the deck to field. Their way of applying pressure, also taken from the old Royal Paladins, is about attacking with additional critical to rack up the damage quickly and threatening to finish their opponent with a single blow. In short, we can easily say that the Jewel Knight archetype took a little bit of everything from the old Royal Paladins.
